Abstract

The Smart Aerial Video Surveillance System using ESP32-CAM is designed to provide an efficient and low-cost solution for real-time aerial monitoring. Traditional surveillance systems rely on fixed cameras that have limited coverage and cannot easily monitor large or remote areas. To overcome this limitation, the proposed system uses a drone integrated with an ESP32-CAM module to capture and transmit live video from the air. The ESP32-CAM acts as both a microcontroller and camera module, enabling wireless video streaming through Wi-Fi to a monitoring device such as a computer or smartphone. In this system, the drone carries the ESP32-CAM module, which continuously captures images or video of the surrounding environment during flight. The captured footage is transmitted in real time to the control station where it can be observed for surveillance purposes. The lightweight design, built-in Wi-Fi capability, and low power consumption of the ESP32-CAM make it suitable for drone-based monitoring applications. This system can be used in various applications such as security surveillance, disaster monitoring, traffic observation, and border monitoring. By using ESP32-CAM with a drone platform, the proposed solution offers a compact, cost-effective, and flexible approach to aerial video surveillance, improving monitoring efficiency and coverage in different environments.
